2	Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF. Using the Dim Select switch. Turn the HUD dimmer switch to the OFF position. Does the HUD image turn off?	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 3
3	Turn the ignition OFF. Disconnect the HUD switch. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF. Does the HUD image turn off?	Go to Step 4	Go to Step 6
4	Connect a test lamp between the ground circuit of the HUD switch and battery positive voltage. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 7
5	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the HUD switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 10	Go to Step 8
