Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Remove the driver's side sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (LHD)  or Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (RHD)  or to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (LHD)  or Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (RHD) .
  2. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster .
  3. Remove the data link connector (DLC) from the knee bolster.
    4. Fig 1: Identifying Knee Bolster Bracket to Lower I/P Fasteners

  4. Remove the 4 fasteners (2) that secure the knee bolster bracket to the lower I/P.
  5. Remove the knee bolster bracket (3).
