Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.

  2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper .
  3. Remove the fasteners (2) that secure the defroster grille to the I/P carrier.
  4. Partially remove the defroster grille in order to disconnect the sunload sensors from the defroster grille. Refer to Sunload and Twilight Sentinel Sensor Replacement .
  5. Remove the defroster grille (3).
