Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Console Door Hinge & Screws

  1. Align the center console hinge (2) to the armrest.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  5. Install the armrest inner trim panel (2) to the armrest.
  6. Install the screws (1) to the armrest inner trim panel (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  8. Install the console tray (2) to the console door hinge.
  9. Install the screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  11. Install the cellular telephone docking station, if equipped with a Cellular phone, UV8. Refer to Cellular Telephone Docking Station Replacement in Cellular Communications.
  12. Align the console lid and hinge assembly to the center console.

    The center console door has alignment pins next to the top 2 hinge screws.

  13. Install the top 2 console hinge screws (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  14. Install the air vent cover (2).

  16. Install the console rear cover screws (2).
  17. Install the rear ashtray and lighter assembly to the center console. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console in Power Outlets.
  18. Inspect the console compartment door for proper operation.
