Engine Oil Life

The engine oil life parameter is calculated by the powertrain control module (PCM) via class 2 serial data messages. The engine oil life is displayed as XXX% ENGINE OIL LIFE. The XXX represents the calculated engine oil life value. The value will range between 100% and 0%. Once the engine oil has been changed, perform the engine oil monitor reset procedure.
