Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Removing & Installing Oil Pump Screen Brace Bolts & Oil Pump Pipe Screen Bolts

  2. Remove the oil pump pipe screen brace bolts (2).
  3. Remove the oil pump pipe screen bolts (1).
  4. Remove the oil pump pipe screen from the engine.
  5. Remove the O-ring seal. Do not reuse the seal.
  6. Clean and inspect the oil pump pipe screen.
