Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Lubricate 2 new O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
  2. Install the new O-ring seals around the oil level indicator tube grooves.
    3. Fig 1: Identifying Bolt Securing Oil Level Indicator Tube, Coolant Outlet Pipe & Engine Front Lift Bracket To Cylinder Head

  3. Install the oil level indicator tube (4) into the engine block.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the bolt (2) securing the following to the cylinder head:
    • The oil level indicator tube (4)
    • The coolant outlet pipe (3)
    • The engine front lift bracket (1)

      Tighten:  Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
