Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

IMPORTANT:

Ensure the flange at the top edge of the cover (1) is upward against the intake manifold.
Ensure the vacuum pipe and sensor leads do not become trapped under the cover (1).

Fully seat the left cover (1) over the following:
- The cam cover (3)
- The throttle body heater inlet hose/pipe (2)

IMPORTANT: Ensure the cover insulation does not become trapped under the oil filler spout.

Install the remote power steering fluid reservoir mounting bolts (1, 3).
Tighten:
- Tighten the remote power steering fluid reservoir to intake plenum mounting bolts (1) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Tighten the remote power steering fluid reservoir to cylinder head mounting bolt (3) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Install the oil filler spout under the cover by twisting clockwise and snapping in place.

Connect the following to the remote power steering fluid reservoir (1):
- The vacuum brake booster hose
- The wiring harness (2)

Connect the following to the front of the throttle body heater inlet hose/pipe bracket:
- The camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector
- The left knock sensor connector (1)

- The vacuum hoses
Connect the vacuum brake booster hose to the vacuum source.
