Timing Belt Cover Installation - Front

  1. Install the front timing belt cover.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the front timing belt cover bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front timing belt bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  3. Install the wiring harness channel.
    4. Fig 2: Water Pump Pulley & Bolts

  4. Install the water pump pulley.
  5. Apply thread adhesive GM P/N 12345382, (Canadian P/N 10953489), to the water pump pulley bolts.
  6. Install the water pump pulley bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the water pump pulley bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
