Oil Level Indicator and Tube Installation

  1. Install the oil level indicator tube.
  2. Install the engine lift bracket.
  3. Apply thread adhesive GM P/N 12345493, (Canadian P/N 10953488), to the oil level indicator tube bolt.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the oil level indicator bolt. Ensure the bolt passes through the coolant pipe, engine lift bracket and oil indicator tube.

    Tighten:  Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Install the oil level indicator.
