Intake Plenum Installation

  1. Lightly coat the intake plenum O-rings with engine oil.
  2. Install the O-ring seals and intake plenum.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the intake plenum bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the intake plenum bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Install the intake plenum bolt caps.

  5. Install the crankcase ventilation tube adapter.
  6. Install the crankcase ventilation tube adapter bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the crankcase ventilation tube adapter bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  7. Install the vacuum lines to the crankcase vent tube adapter.

  8. Install the ECM bracket.
  9. Install the ECM bracket bolts.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the ECM bracket bolts to the intake manifold plenum to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
    • Tighten the ECM bracket bolt to the cylinder head to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  10. Install the ECM.
  11. Install the ECM nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the ECM nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  12. Lightly coat the throttle body O-rings with clean engine oil.
  13. Install the throttle body with O-rings.
  14. Install the throttle body bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the throttle body bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
