Engine Block Assemble (with KA3)

  1. Install the blow-by plate.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the blow-by plate bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the blow-by plate bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  3. Install the O-ring onto the block heater.
  4. Install the block heater.

    Tighten:  Tighten the block heater to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).

  5. Apply thread sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) to the threads of the coolant jacket plugs.
  6. Install the coolant jacket plugs.

    Tighten:  Tighten the coolant jacket plugs to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).
