Cylinder Head Assemble

Tools Required

• J 8062  Valve Spring Compressor. See Special Tools and Equipment .
• J 41774 Valve Spring Compressor Adapter
• J 41775 Valve Seal Installer

1. Coat the valve stem with engine oil.
2. Insert the valve stem into the guide.
3. Install the valve spring seat.

4. Use the J 41775 to insert the valve seal (1).
5. Install the valve spring.
6. Install the cap on the valve stem.
7. Use the J 8062  and the J 41774 to compress the valve spring.
8. Perform the following steps to install the valve stem keys:
   1. Use a light grease to hold the keys in place.
   2. Remove the J 8062  and. J 41774.
   3. Seat the valve stem keys in the upper groove of the valve stem.
9. Install the lifter.
10. Repeat the above sequence for the remaining valves.
