Crankshaft and Bearings Removal

- Remove the crankshaft bearing bridge bolts.
- Remove the main bearing cap bolts.
- Remove the crankshaft bearing bridge.
- Remove the first main bearing cap.
- Remove the first main bearing cap lower insert.
- Remove the second main bearing cap.
- Remove the second main bearing cap lower insert.
- Remove the third main bearing cap.
- Remove the third main bearing cap lower insert.
- Perform the following steps to remove the fourth main bearing cap:
- Insert a bolt into the main bearing cap oil pan threaded hole or pry the crankshaft and drain the bearing cap from the block using a pry bar at each end of the flywheel.
- Use a pry bar to remove the cap from the block.
- Remove the fourth main bearing cap.
- Remove the fourth main bearing cap lower insert.
- Carefully remove the crankshaft.
- Remove the main bearing upper inserts from the block.
- Remove the crankshaft position sensor bolt.
- Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
- Remove the crankshaft reluctor ring bolts.
- Remove the crankshaft reluctor ring.
