Camshaft Cover Removal - Left

Tools Required 

J 43301  Coil Pack Puller. See Special Tools and Equipment .

1. Remove the oil filler cap.

2. Remove the coil cassette bolts.
3. Remove the coil cassette using the J 43301  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
4. Remove the spark plugs.

5. Remove the camshaft cover bolts (1).
6. Remove the camshaft cover (2).
IMPORTANT: Ensure that all 8 sealing O-rings (4) are accounted for. O-rings may stick to the camshaft bearing caps or they may fall into the oil return journals of the cylinder head.
7. Remove the camshaft cover seals (3).
