Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the knock sensor pigtail (1) from the electrical connector (2) and bracket.
  2. Remove the accessory mounting bracket. Refer to Accessory Mounting Brackets Replacement in Engine Mechanical-2.6L and 3.2L.
    3. IMPORTANT: Observe the routing of the pigtail for proper installation.
  3. Remove the knock sensor pigtail from the retaining clips.

  4. Remove the bolt from the center of the knock sensor (2).
  5. Remove the knock sensor (2) from the engine block.
