Removal Procedure

Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector (2) from the engine harness connector (1).
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

NOTE: Refer to Oxygen Sensor Notice in Cautions and Notices.

IMPORTANT: Removal of the oxygen sensor is easier when the engine temperature is above 48°C (120°F).

Remove the heated oxygen sensor using the J 39194 . See Special Tools and Equipment .
