Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    NOTE: Apply a non-hardening sealer to the sensor threads prior to installation in order to prevent coolant leaks. Use P/N 1050805 or the equivalent
    NOTE: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Install the ECT sensor into the water crossover.

    Tighten:  Tighten the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  2. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the ECT sensor.
  3. Install the wiper motor module. Refer to Wiper Motor Module Replacement (LHD) or Wiper Motor Module Replacement (RHD) in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  4. Fill the coolant system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (LA3, LY9) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (LY7) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (LS6) in Engine Cooling.
