Throttle Body Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    IMPORTANT: The intake manifold, throttle body, fuel injection rail and fuel injectors may be removed as an assembly. If not servicing the individual components, remove the manifold as a complete assembly.
  1. Remove the electrical wire harness connectors from the throttle body.
  2. Remove the engine coolant air bleed hose and clamp.
  3. NOTE: Handle the electronic throttle control components carefully. Use cleanliness in order to prevent damage. Do not drop the electronic throttle control components. Do not roughly handle the electronic throttle control components. Do not immerse the electronic throttle control components in cleaning solvents of any type.

  4. Remove the throttle body bolts.
  5. Remove the throttle body.

  7. Remove the throttle body gasket (509).
  8. IMPORTANT: DO NOT use the throttle body gasket again. Install a NEW gasket during assembly.
  9. Discard the gasket.
