Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Cleaning and Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    IMPORTANT: Do not use the engine coolant air bleed pipe and cover gaskets again. Upon installation of the pipe and covers, install NEW gaskets.

  1. Remove the sealing gaskets from the pipe.
  2. Remove the sealing gaskets from the covers.

  4. Clean the pipe (307), hose (311), and covers in solvent.
  5. CAUTION: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Dry the pipe and covers with compressed air.
  7. Inspect the pipe and covers for damage or restrictions.
  8. Inspect the gasket and hose sealing surfaces for damage.
  9. Inspect the hose (311) for restrictions, cracking or wear.

    The hose may be used again if it is not damaged.
