Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Assemble J 8092  onto J 44766  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
  2. Install the torque converter seal onto the tool before installing into the case to prevent damage to the seal.
    3. IMPORTANT: Align the torque converter seal with the bolt holes.

  3. Install the torque converter seal into the torque converter housing.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the torque converter seal bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the NEW torque converter seal bolts to 3.6 N.m (31.9 lb in).

  5. Install the transmission torque converter. Refer to Torque Converter Replacement .
