Removal Procedure

  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Fig 1: Removing Shift Boot From Console Trim Plate

  3. Remove the shift boot from the console trim plate by lightly prying up on the rear of the shift control boot.
  4. Fig 2: Removing Shift Knob Retaining Screw

  5. Lift the shift control boot up over the shift knob.
  6. Remove the shift knob retaining screw.

  8. Lift the shift control boot and knob assembly off of the shift lever.
