Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the engine purge pipe under the fuel rail.
  2. Connect the EVAP pipe to the purge valve. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  3. Connect the left bank coil electrical connector.

  4. Connect the EVAP engine purge pipe to the line connection (2) at the right rear cylinder head. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

  5. Remove the caps from the intake manifold pipe and the EVAP canister purge valve.
  6. Install the EVAP pipe to the intake manifold and the EVAP canister purge valve.

  7. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 5.7L.
