Crankshaft Installation Procedure

    NOTE: The crankshaft sprocket drive pin must be set to the proper depth. Installing the crankshaft sprocket drive pin too deep can lead to damage to the crankshaft sprocket and extensive engine damage.
  1. If removed, install the crankshaft sprocket drive pin. Lightly tap the pin in place with a small soft face, bronze/plastic, hammer until it bottoms in the hole.
  2. Fig 2: View Of Crankshaft

  3. Gently lower the crankshaft into position in the cylinder block.
