Installation Procedure

Apply pipe sealant with Teflon® to the threads of the backup lamp switch. Use GM P/N 1052080 or equivalent.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the backup lamp switch (2).
Tighten: The backup lamp switch to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
Install the backup lamp switch wire harness to the bracket.
Connect the backup lamp switch electrical connector (3).
Lower the vehicle.
