Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SIR CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to ZONE 3 and ZONE 5 in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
  2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim pad. Refer to TRIM PAD REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER   .

  3. Remove the I/P cluster trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER   . 
  4. Remove the inflatable restraint instrument panel module. Refer to AIR BAG MODULES in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
  5. Remove the screw from trim panel.
  6. Remove the two screws from the straps at the carrier.

  7. Pull rearward on the trim panel in order to remove the trim panel.
