Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: The knee bolster trim panel must be replaced, not repaired, if there is any visible damage.
  1. Remove the driver's side sound insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT (LHD)   or CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT (RHD)   or CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT RIGHT (LHD)   or CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT (RHD)   . 
  2. Remove the knee bolster fasteners (2).
  3. Remove the knee bolster trim panel (1) by grasping the bolster at the top and the bottom. Pull the bolster downward in order to disengage the snap clips at the rear of the trim plate.
