Installation Procedure

  1. Install the Inside air temperature sensor to the I/P retainer (1). Refer to INSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
  2. Partially install the I/P retainer (1) to the I/P carrier (2) and guide the wiring through the I/P retainer openings.
  3. Connect the inside air temperature sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the I/P retainer bolts.

  5. Install the screws (1) to the I/P retainer.
  6. Install the headlamp switch. Refer to HEADLAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT
  7. Install the drivers knee bolster bracket. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER BRACKET REPLACEMENT - LEFT  .
  8. Install the radio. Refer to RADIO REPLACEMENT (U1R, UM5, UM9) or RADIO REPLACEMENT (U3Q, U3R, U3S)
  9. Install the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT
  10. Install the I/P cluster. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) REPLACEMENT  .
  11. Install the I/P storage compartment. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P)  .

  12. Install the right I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY RIGHT  .
  13. Install the left I/P outer trim cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) OUTER TRIM COVER REPLACEMENT - LEFT  .
  14. Install the right I/P outer trim cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) OUTER TRIM COVER REPLACEMENT - RIGHT  .
  15. Install the I/P center storage compartment or the floor console. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) (BASE AND DHS)  or COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) (DTS)  or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR (DTS, W/O UV8)  or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR (DTS WITH UV8)  .
  16. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE
  17. Enable the SIR. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM
