Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SIR HANDLING CAUTION .
  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the instrument panel (IP) upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper 
  3. Remove the fasteners (2) that secure the defroster grille to the IP carrier.
  4. Partially remove the defroster grille in order to disconnect the sunload sensors from the defroster grille. Refer to Sunload and Twilight Sentinel Sensor Replacement 
  5. Remove the defroster grille (3).
