Installation Procedure

  1. Align the center console hinge (2) to the armrest.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  3. Install the armrest inner trim panel (2) to the armrest.
  4. Install the screws (1) to the armrest inner trim panel (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  5. Install the console tray (2) to the console door hinge.
  6. Install the screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  7. Install the console mobile telephone storage tray, if equipped with a Cellular phone, UV8.
  8. Align the console lid and hinge assembly to the center console.

    The center console door has alignment pins next to the top 2 hinge screws.

  9. Install the top 2 console hinge screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

  10. Install the air vent cover (2).
  11. Inspect the console compartment door for proper operation.

  12. Install the console rear cover screws (2).
  13. Install the rear ashtray and lighter assembly to the center console. Refer to Console Ashtray/Lighter Replacement.
