Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SIR HANDLING CAUTION .
  1. Open the IP storage compartment door.
  2. Remove the Audio Visual (A/V) adapter from the instrument panel (IP) storage compartment, if equipped. Refer to AUDIO/VIDEO WIRING HARNESS REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the IP compartment lamp. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) STORAGE COMPARTMENT LA .
  4. Lift the IP storage compartment door slightly and twist the compensator rod 1/4 turn in order to disengage the end of the compensator rod from the IP storage compartment door.

  5. Remove the screws (1) from the IP storage compartment bin.
  6. Partially remove the IP storage compartment from the IP assembly.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors and guide the IP storage compartment lamp lens/connector out of the opening in the IP storage compartment.
  8. Remove the IP storage compartment.
