Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

  1. 6.  This step tests if the EBCM is commanding the inverting driver module to turn OFF the traction off indicator.
  2. 7.  This step tests if the inverting driver module is receiving adequate power and ground in order to power up.
  3. 9.  This step tests if the inverting driver module is falsely illuminating the traction off indicator.
  4. 10.  This step tests the service traction control signal circuit for a short to ground by substituting the IPC with a test lamp.
  5. 11.  This step simulates pressing and releasing a properly functioning traction control switch.
  6. 14.  The traction control switch may be damaged if the traction control switch signal circuit is shorted to voltage.
