Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the third pillar trim. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (TAHOE/YUKON/ESCALADE/SUBURBAN) or TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (AVALANCHE/ESCALADE EXT) .
  2. Remove the hinges from the mid gate. Refer to Hinge Replacement - Removable Rear Panel - Midgate .
  3. Remove the rear floor trim plate (1) from the vehicle.
