Independent rear suspension uses coil springs to support vehicle weight. See Fig 1. Hub and bearing assembly on knuckle is a sealed unit. If faulty, entire assembly must be replaced. Suspension support is a subframe that supports all other suspension components. Entire suspension support can be removed if necessary.
