Installation Procedure

  1. Position the upper trim panel on top of the instrument panel. Ensure that the sensors protrude through the trim panel.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the 4 fasteners (2) through the air outlet deflector openings.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the 3 fasteners (1) through the defroster grille openings.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Open the air outlets (1).
  5. Install the air outlet deflectors. Refer to IP Air Outlet Vent Replacement .
  6. Install the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - WINDSHIELD PILL .
  7. Install the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  8. Reposition the steering wheel.
  9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
