Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to IP Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the 4 fasteners (4) retaining the center brace (5) to the hinge pillar tie bar (1) and the floor pan.
  3. Remove the center brace (5).
  4. Remove the 6 fasteners (2, 3) retaining the hinge pillar tie bar (1) to the body.

    Remove the hinge pillar tie bar (1).

  5. Remove the fasteners (1, 3, 4) retaining the tie bar bracket (2) to the body.
  6. Remove the bracket (2).

  7. Remove the park brake assembly. Refer to PARK BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY .
  8. Remove the fasteners (2, 3, 4, 5) retaining the reinforcement (1) to the body.

    Remove the reinforcement (1).
