Front Brake Rotor: Installation
CAUTION:
Whenever the rotor has been separated from the wheel bearing flange, clean any rust or contaminants from the wheel bearing flange and the brake rotor mating surfaces. Failure to do this may result in increased lateral runout of the brake rotor, and brake pulsation.
- Use the Rotor Resurfacing Kit (J-41013) in order to thoroughly clean any corrosion from the wheel bearing flange. Use the Wheel Hub Resurfacing Kit (J-42450-A) in order to thoroughly clean any corrosion/rust from the brake rotor mating surface and mounting face.
- Install the brake rotor over the wheel studs onto the wheel bearing flange.
- Install the brake caliper bracket assembly. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER BRACKET . Install the brake caliper to the brake caliper bracket assembly. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
