    • Thoroughly clean the residue from the bolt threads by using denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
    • Thoroughly clean the residue from the threaded holes by using denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
  2. Apply threadlocker GM US P/N 12345493, or equivalent to two-thirds of the threaded length of the lower caliper bracket bolts. Ensure that there are no gaps in the threadlocker along the length of the filled area of the bolts. Allow the threadlocker to cure approximately ten minutes before installation.
  3. Install the brake caliper bracket to the steering knuckle. Install the brake caliper bracket bolts. Tighten the brake caliper bracket bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Apply a thin coat of NIGLUBE(R) to the brake caliper pin bolts. Install the brake pad retainers to the brake caliper bracket. Install the brake pads to the brake caliper bracket. Install the brake caliper. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER  .
