Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illuminates TRUNK OPEN - 24 indicator in Driver's Information Center (DIC) when Rear Integration Module (RIM) detects that rear compartment is open and ignition switch is turned to RUN position. IPC receives a class 2 message from RIM requesting illumination.
