Service Air Bag (83)

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illuminates SERVICE AIR BAG - 83 indicator in Driver's Information Center (DIC) when this occurs:

• Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) detects a malfunction with supplemental inflatable restraint system. IPC receives a class 2 messages from SDM requesting illumination.
• IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with SDM.
