Air Bag

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illuminates AIR BAG indicator when this occurs:

• Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) detects a malfunction with supplemental inflatable restraint system IPC receives a class 2 message from SDM requesting illumination.
• IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with SDM.
• IPC performs a displays test at start of each ignition cycle. IPC flashes air bag indicator 7 times.
