Test R: Engine Oil Pressure Indicator Inoperative

  1. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Cycle ignition switch from OFF to RUN position. Observe engine oil pressure indicator during bulb check. If engine oil pressure indicator does not illuminate during bulb check, go to next step. If engine oil pressure indicator illuminates during bulb check, inspect for intermittents. See TROUBLE SHOOTING  .
  3. Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). After repair, go to next step.
  4. Operate system to verify repair. If system is not operating correctly, repeat test beginning at step  2 .
