Test K: Charge Indicator Inoperative

  1. If engine electrical diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If engine electrical diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform ENGINE ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Observe charge indicator during 5 second bulb check. If charge indicator does not illuminate during bulb check, go to next step. If charge indicator illuminates during bulb check, inspect for intermittents. See TROUBLE SHOOTING  .
  3. Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC), then go to next step.
  4. Operate system to verify repair. If system is not operating correctly, repeat test beginning at step  2 .
