Malfunction Indicator Light

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) illuminates Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) when this occurs:

• PCM detects a malfunction in emissions system.
• PCM performs a displays test at start of each ignition cycle. Indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds.
• Ignition switch is turned RUN position.
