Engine Coolant Hot/Idle Engine (44)

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illuminates ENGINE COOLANT HOT/IDLE ENGINE - 44 indicator in Driver's Information Center (DIC) and sends a class 2 message to activate an audible warning when IPC determines that coolant temperature is 262°F (128°C) or more. IPC receives a class 2 message from Powertrain Control Module (PCM) indicating coolant temperature. IPC turns off indicator when engine coolant falls below 257°F (125°C).
