Engine Oil Life

Engine oil life parameter is calculated by Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and information is provided to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) through class 2 serial data messages. When engine oil life is displayed on Driver's Information Center (DIC), pressing INFO RESET button on DIC for 5 seconds will reset engine oil life parameter. Engine oil life is displayed as XXX% ENGINE OIL LIFE. XXX represents calculated engine oil life value. Value will range between zero and 100%.
