Test M: Cruise Indicator Always On

  1. If cruise control diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If cruise control diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to CRUISE CONTROL DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKS.
  2. Turn ignition off and back on. This will activate Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) bulb check. Observe CRUISE indicator during the bulb check. If CRUISE indicator does not illuminate during bulb check, go to next step. If CRUISE indicator illuminates during bulb check, problem is intermittent, check wiring and connections.
  3. Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  4. After repairs, recheck operation of CRUISE indicator. If indicator operates properly, repair is complete. If indicator does not operate properly, return to step  2.
