Engine Oil Pressure

The IPC illuminates the engine oil pressure indicator and activates an audible warning when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects that the engine oil pressure is outside the normal operating range or the IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM requesting illumination. The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle. The indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds.
