Lights On Warning

The radio activates the lights on warning as requested by the dash integration module (DIM). The DIM sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (continuous). The lights on warning sounds and the LIGHTS ON indicator illuminates when the ignition is off, the headlight switch is in the park or headlight on position and driver door module (DDM) determines that the driver's door is open (signal circuit is low). The DIM determines that the headlight switch is in the park or headlight on position. The DIM receives a class 2 message from the DDM indicating the door ajar status.
