Engine Oil Pressure Indicator Inoperative

  1. If cooling system diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If cooling system diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to COOLING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition off and back on. This will activate bulb check. Monitor engine oil pressure indicator on Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) during bulb check. If engine oil pressure indicator illuminates during the bulb check and then turns off, check for intermittent or poor connections at IPC. If engine oil pressure indicator does not illuminate during the bulb check, go to next step.
  3. Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  4. Recheck engine oil pressure indicator operation. If engine oil pressure indicator operates properly, repair is complete. If engine oil pressure indicator does not operate properly, go to step  2 .
